Edith Hoft – Retail Showroom & E-Commerce

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases made through the Edith Hoft retail showroom, website, and any online sales platforms operated by Edith Hoft (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

These Terms apply to all products sold by Edith Hoft including, but not limited to:

  • Wallcoverings and wallpaper

  • Paint and finishes

  • Window treatments and custom window coverings

  • Fabrics and textiles

  • Furniture

  • Decorative accessories and home décor

  • Custom or special-order items

By purchasing products from Edith Hoft, whether in-store or online, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Order Accuracy

Customers are responsible for reviewing all order details prior to completing their purchase.

PLEASE REVIEW ORDER FOR ACCURACY AS ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NO RETURNS FOR OVERAGE WILL BE ACCEPTED. CLAIMS FOR LABOR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

Once an order has been placed and confirmed, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded except where required by applicable law.

2. Inspection of Products Upon Delivery

Upon receipt of your order, all products must be inspected immediately.

Customers must verify that the correct items, colors, materials, sizes, and quantities have been received.

UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIAL, CAREFULLY INSPECT ALL BOLTS BEFORE CUTTING AND HANGING. CONFIRM THAT YOU’VE RECEIVED THE CORRECT COLOR, ITEM AND QUANTITY.

Customers must report shipping damage, defects, or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery.

Failure to inspect materials before installation, cutting, fabrication, or use may void eligibility for claims.

3. Installation Inspection Procedure (Applicable to Wallcoverings and Similar Materials)

For wallcoverings and similar installed materials, the following inspection procedure must be followed.

IF NO DEFECT IS EVIDENT BEFORE INSTALLATION, THE MATERIAL SHOULD BE INSPECTED AFTER THREE (3) STRIPS ARE INSTALLED. IF ANY DEFECT IS EVIDENT AT THIS TIME (OR AT ANY POINT IN THE INSTALLATION) NO ADDITIONAL MATERIAL SHOULD BE HUNG UNTIL PHILLIP JEFFRIES IS NOTIFIED.

NO CLAIMS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR MORE THAN THREE (3) STRIPS ON THE WALL.

Failure to follow this procedure may result in denial of claims.

4. Claims Policy

All claims must meet the following conditions:

• Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the invoice date
• Claims must include proof of purchase
• Claims must include photos or documentation when requested

ALL CLAIMS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE INVOICE DATE.

Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted.

5. Labor and Installation Liability

Edith Hoft is not responsible for labor, installation, fabrication, or contractor expenses.

CLAIMS FOR LABOR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • installation labor

  • removal costs

  • fabrication or sewing costs

  • contractor or installer expenses

  • project delays

Customers are responsible for hiring qualified installers and contractors.

6. Refunds, Returns, and Restocking Policy

Because many Edith Hoft products are custom ordered, cut-to-order, or designer materials, the following policies apply.

All Sales Final

Unless required by law, all sales are final.

Returns are not accepted for:

  • Overage material

  • Custom or special orders

  • Fabric cut yardage

  • Custom window treatments

  • Installed materials

  • Opened paint containers

  • Used or damaged items

  • Clearance or final sale items

Authorized Returns

If a return is approved by Edith Hoft:

  • A return authorization must be obtained in advance

  • Items must be unused and in original packaging

  • Items must be returned within 10 days of authorization

Restocking Fees

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price.

Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

7. Product Variations

Many of the products sold by Edith Hoft are natural, handmade, or manufactured in small batches.

Variations may occur including:

  • dye lot differences

  • color variations

  • natural texture differences

  • pattern repeat differences

  • slight variations in fabric or wallpaper

These variations are normal and not considered defects.

Customers are encouraged to review samples before placing large orders.

8. Custom and Special Orders

Custom, made-to-order, or special-order items may include:

  • window treatments

  • custom upholstery

  • cut fabric yardage

  • custom paint colors

  • custom furniture or décor

All custom orders are non-cancelable and non-refundable once production begins.

9. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD).

Edith Hoft reserves the right to:

  • correct pricing errors

  • cancel orders due to pricing mistakes

  • change prices without prior notice

Full payment may be required before processing or shipping an order.

Custom orders may require deposits or full payment in advance.

10. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping dates are estimates and not guaranteed.

Edith Hoft is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • carriers or freight companies

  • weather conditions

  • supply chain issues

  • customs or import regulations

  • events outside of our control

Customers must report shipping damage immediately to the carrier.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edith Hoft shall not be liable for any:

  • indirect damages

  • incidental damages

  • consequential damages

  • loss of profits or project delays

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.

12. Warranty Disclaimer

Except where required by law, products are sold “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

This includes warranties of:

  • merchantability

  • fitness for a particular purpose

  • compatibility with specific installations

Manufacturer warranties, if applicable, are handled directly through the manufacturer.

13. Website Use

All content on the Edith Hoft website, including images, product descriptions, and designs, is protected by intellectual property laws.

Users may not reproduce or distribute website content without permission.

14. Privacy

Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Personal information is used only for order processing, customer service, and legal compliance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Florida.

16. Modifications to Terms

Edith Hoft reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Updates will take effect immediately once posted on the website.
